The Story
6 Percent & Rising is Speak To Me's dedicated employment campaign, focused on raising awareness of the barriers and opportunities that exist for disabled people in the world of work.
Rooted in Liverpool and driven by lived experience, the campaign shines a spotlight on the talents, skills, and achievements of people with learning disabilities and additional needs who are already making a valuable contribution to workplaces and communities.
Through powerful storytelling, media content, employer engagement, and real-life experiences, we aim to challenge perceptions and promote a greater understanding of inclusive employment.
Built around the voices of disabled people, 6 Percent & Rising highlights the importance of meaningful employment opportunities and the positive impact that inclusive workplaces can have on individuals, employers, and society as a whole.
By working with employers, educators, supported employment providers, families, and people with lived experience, we seek to raise awareness of the pathways that can help individuals move towards employment, including Supported Internships, Supported Apprenticeships, Access to Work, and other inclusive recruitment initiatives.
